My Favorite Things' May Hop and Shop!!

It's finally here!!! My Favorite Things' May Hop and Shop is NOW! So much to see this month, so let's get started! If you got here from Sherrie's blog you're right on track, if not, double back to Kim's blog 'cause that's the beginning, then work your way back here :)

I'm showing you Rainfall Flopsey tonight. Yeah, yeah, yeah, I know I say this with every Flopsey, but I swear, this is my favorite EVER! I mean, look at those precious little BOOTS!! I am in LOVE!!!

While coming up with an idea for this set, I started wondering what I would like to do on a rainy day (other than stamping, of course) and I thought I'd like to just hibernate with a good book, some chocolate, some tea, and a bubble bath. Sounds like a perfect day to me. So I decided to create a Rainy Day Gift Set with Rainfall Flopsey. He asked if he could invite a few of his Flopsey friends along to help him out--how could I say "no" to that sweet little face?

There are lots of pictures, so I'll keep the gabbing to a minimum ;-) If you have a question, just shoot me an email and I'll do my best to answer :)

Here's the gift set. There's a card, of course, a tin full of assorted tea bags, chocolates in a tin, bubble bath and lotion in a die cut bag, and a bookmark (when you doze off you don't want to loose your place ;-)).

Close up of the card. After I colored the image and cut it out (all images stamped on Perfect Paper Panels with Memento Tuxedo Black ink), I added Glossy Accents to the boots and umbrella. The clouds are felt, cut out with MFT's new Die-namics Clouds die. The wide ribbon is from the Perfect Plaid Ribbon Collection, and the narrow is from my stash, buttons are all from the Summer button collection, and the red card stock is Red Hot. Raindrops are from Rain Or Shine set.

Inside of the card. Another cloud (there are three sizes on one die) and a Jumbo Scallop border.

The tea tin using Tea With Flopsey and the Scalloped Scallop border die. Sentiment is from Hot Stuff.

Chocolate kisses in a tin using Chocolate Flopsey Bunny with the addition of Summer Collection Glittered Garnishes.

Bubble bath and lotion tote bag using Bubble Bunny Flopsey with Iridescent Stickles on the bubbles. Sentiment is from Time For the Bubbly.

And finally, a magnetic bookmark using What's the Story? I'm going to show you how I made the book mark using the new Scalloped Scallop Die-namics die and a magnet I found around the house :)

Please excuse my messy work area, LOL! I hadn't really planned on doing a tutorial but when I got started I thought maybe someone would like to see the process. My magnet was about 5" by 3". I covered the advertisement with card stock first thing.

Then I cut both long edges with the Scalloped Scallop die and cut the magnet in half. I ran it through my Cuttle bug with my normal sandwich, twice. I wasn't sure I got a good cut, but when I tugged on the excess it came right off. I'm tellin' you, these dies are fantastic!! Next I added a strip of patterned paper.

Then I put some 1/2" Scor-Tape on the other side...

...added my ribbon...

...and tied the two pieces of ribbon together with a button and Pearl cotton.

Finally, I added Flopsey and the sentiment and it was done! This book mark works great! One piece goes on either side of a page and it won't fall out of the book because it's magnetized! I'm loving it!

And that's it! Thanks so much for stopping by! Now, you *must* head on over to Wendy's blog (she's our AWESOME guest designer this month) to see what wonderful things she has in store for you. I can't wait--I'm going right now! OH!! Don't forget there's blog candy somewhere along the way. You might want to leave a comment on every DT member's blog to be sure you have a chance of winning. I'm just sayin'.

The Copics I used. Yeah, I do use a lot of 'em.
